THANK YOU !
FOR YOUR INTEREST IN MODERN FLOOR LAMPS
Today we’re showing you dazzling industrial lamps designed by Aurélien Barbry, who has started his career working for the famous french architect Jean Nouvel. Keep scrolling to find out everything about these unique lighting designs.
Aurélien has worked on many different interior and industrial projects, his clients include Georg Jensen, COR, Menu, Normann, HAY, and ENO among others. Today, he is based in Copenhagen, where he continues to work on challenging contemporary design with pursuits such as his lighting collection for Le Klint called ‘Caché’.
The series consists of three pendants and a floor lamp that have been manufactured with ultra-high quality craftsmanship in Demark.
The name of the assortment, which means ‘hidden’ in french, is the symbolism of the almost hidden, hand-folded shade, which is seamlessly integrated into the diffuser. This gives each product its special character and adds the brand’s classical DNA, which lies in the unique technique of pleating.
“I wanted to create a simple soft and round lamp in steel using the skills of le Klint with a sophisticated pleated diffusor hidden inside the shade. In this way it creates a very nice contrast between the steel and the pleating where the light appears from out of the shade”, Barbry said. “The lamp is also enhanced by the brass detail.”
