Modern Floor Lamp with a Personal Twist by Marco De Masi
The year was 2015 and designer Marco De Masi went further than he’d ever been, by creating the first modern floor lamp that… says hello!
“Wait, rewind… says hello?“. We know that’s what you’re thinking, right? Well, but it is actually true, and honestly kind of fascinating. So, today we’re going to show you how designer Marco De Masi got to this particular concept.

Monsieur is a steel floor lamp that was thought in a way that allowed it to follow the courteous concept of tipping your hat to say hello. Designed by Marco De Masi for Office Tamborrino, the floor lamp is composed of a steel structure that bears four tubular elements and a removable lampshade.

De Masi got to his different and very personal concept by inspiring himself in the “Italian history and tradition”, thus creating a lamp that, according to Office Tamborrino, “retains an essential and original outline which conveys a warm atmosphere of light and elegance”.

The Monsieur floor light can also come in more than one color, and looks great in pretty much any area of your house, ready to greet you and say hello!

Monsieur’s tilted and oblique shade lets the user direct the light to where it’s most needed, like over a chair for reading, or even next to your sofa, for a cozy Autumn evening.
