THANK YOU !
FOR YOUR INTEREST IN MODERN FLOOR LAMPS
Today we’re going to show you some of the best lighting designs we have ever seen for any industrial loft. So, we will present you the ‘Boiler Lamp Collection’ by Willem Heeffer that features unique copper floor lamps that will provide an innovative vibe for any room.
The Dutch designer Willem Heeffer created this collection in order to be the first element of his project: “The City as a Mine”. The main purpose of this work is to identify and make use of residual items gathered from factories in the Helsinki, Finland area.
Therefore, the main goal is to create a catalog of information about industrial waste materials, including specific properties and production methods.
This stunning collection is comprised of pendant and industrial floor lamps made with boilers from discarded espresso machines. These materials were sourced from the Paulig Coffee Factory.
The metal pieces are retired and reinterpreted as small batch lamps.
Each lighting design is unique since it is tagged with the name and the serial number of the original machine. The designer gives every lamp a matte powder-coat exterior, which contrasts wonderfully with the shimming factory finish interior.
The light shades were made by the designer, and measure 18cm in diameter and are available in various thicknesses.
