It’ll help you find all the best places to visit, all the best restaurants and the best events going on in the city. So make sure to stick around and come find Milan with us!
WHERE SHOULD YOU EAT
If there’s one Milan restaurant that’s as inventive as the néo-bistrots that have taken Paris by storm, it’s Rebelot. It’s the most exciting place to dine in Milan, hands down.
Glauco is a restaurant where good food is not just eaten but literally savoured thanks to its delicate, highly sought-after dishes, its attentive service and the professionalism of its chef.
THE BEST PLACES TO STAY
In downtown Milan, in one of the city’s most historic quarters, is a collection of chic and luxury rooms, all framed by an unforgettable 15th – century cloistered and landscape courtyrad at this Milan five – star hotel.
A historic luxury hotel in Milan traditionally preferred by high society for social events & private celebrations, The Westin Palace Milan since years represents an elegant and sophisticated meeting point for local and international travelers.
THE BEST PLACES TO VISIT
If you will be in Milan for the Salone del Mobile, you cannot miss out on a few imperative places and events. Milan is not the place for slumbering.
Did you know that another design event will take place in Milan from the 4th to the 9th of April? It is not a fair nor a specific location. Fuorisalone is an ensemble of events related to Salone del Mobile and distributed by different places all across the city. The exhibitions can concern automotive, technology, telecommunications, art, fashion and food. The purpose of it is to portray design as a dynamic event asking for the engagement of visitors and embedded into the geography of the town.
Whichever the purpose of your visit to Milan is, you must visit the Duomo, or at least wander around the Piazza. The emblematic cathedral, with its towering pillars, intricate pinnacles and pyramid-shaped façade, is the ultimate symbol of the Lombardian city. Apart from being an irrefutable tourist attraction, you can also climb up to the roof, surrounded by marbled pinnacles and overlook the city.
If you are a fashionist, you have most certainly hear about Montenapoleone, or Milan’s fashion district. At every corner there is a Dior, Gucci, Giorgio Armani and other upscale fashion brands. Arcaded boutiques, elegant delicatessens, irresistible showrooms, Milanese cakes, fancy heeled shoes, debonair purses. A cluster of fashion, exquisiteness and a sense of poshness.
At night, Milan is reborn in the Brera district. Besides being home to the Academy of Fine Arts, Brera is a debonair neighborhood emanating bohemia and art. Located at the center of the city, Brera is where culture and nature meet: there are several antique shops and galleries, such as the Pinacoteca, as well as the Braidense National Library and the Botanical Gardens.
If you are an art enthusiast, you must love Manet. Luckily for you, the “Manet and Modern Paris” exhibition was loaned by the Musée d’Orsay, in Paris, and will be taking place at the Palazzo Reale, until July. The exhibition features a selection of over one hundred works, including 55 paintings both by Manet and by some of the major artists of his times including Boldini, Cézanne, Degas, Gauguin, Monet, Renoir and Tissot.
Now there are no excuses for you not go to Salone del Mobile this April, attend iSaloni and have the time of your life! DelightFULL will be there waiting for you with a smile, and lots of novelties!
